This is contributing to the climate crisis. \nThe best way to avoid this impact is to convert the biomass to black biochar by heating it in the absence of oxygen. This is called pyrolysis or torrefaction (depending on the temperature) and is the most environmentally responsible way to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. It is also scalable. Many Australians are struggling to afford coverage\, with some opting out entirely\, which raises concerns about underinsurance.
