Nicole is a community worker and art therapist with extensive experience teaching craft classes to both children and adults. With her warm\, encouraging approach and background working in schools\, she creates a welcoming space where young participants can explore their creativity and enjoy making something truly personal. \nDuring the session\, children will use beautifully pressed flowers to create their own decorative artwork to take home. Nicole will also demonstrate how flowers are dried and pressed\, giving children a glimpse into the process behind this timeless craft. It’s a fun\, calming and inspiring activity that combines nature\, art and imagination.

DESCRIPTION:Waste to Art\nTransform everyday waste into imaginative art\nChildren 12 – 15\nTransform everyday waste into imaginative art in this inspiring hands-on workshop led by artist\, educator and arts facilitator Rose Marin. Designed for children aged 8 and up\, this two-hour session encourages young makers to think differently about discarded materials and discover creative possibilities in the things we often throw away. \nRose brings more than three decades of arts and cultural sector experience\, along with a lifelong art practice. She is producer and curator of the Wollondilly Waste to Art Prize and Executive Director of Southern Tablelands Arts\, with previous roles at the National Gallery of Australia and regional galleries across NSW and Queensland.
