Blue Mountains Planetary Health Initiative – The Blue Mountains Planetary Health Initiative inspires us to look at ourselves and our planet, from a different perspective. Recognising that #WeAreNature and that all life is interconnected, helps us see that everything we do to the planet affects us, and our health. Equally, the way we treat ourselves and each other and all other species, ultimately also impacts the wider health of our planet. Hear about some big and exciting new projects kicking off this year.
Resilient Villages Project – Resilient Villages (RV) is a three-year pilot project which has been funded by the Federal Government’s Preparing Australian Communities Local Stream grant program, following the devastation of the 2019-20 bushfires. The RV pilot project is one of a number of grant-funded projects in the Blue Mountains that have been underway since bushfires swept through the region in 2013, that aim to increase the resilience of our communities – street by street, one village at a time.
